Armand is born in New York City.
He already had a sister: Denise and the Family lives in Washington Heights.
Shortly after his mother gets paralyzed and Armand is very often at his grandparents place. His grandfather has a restaurant i New York. His older coussins also take care of him and he has declared that they are like brothers to him.

1953 Armand goes to the theatre with his parents and watch "PeterPan", this experiance made an impact on him and right there, 4 years old, he knew he wanted to be up there at the stage. He was´nt quite sure what he would do up there, but he found out later.

1957 The whole family Assante now moves to a house in Cornwall up state New York, his father thought the invoriment in Washington Heights got to violent to live in.

1959 Armands younger sister: Andrea is born.

1960

1966 Armand is 17 years old and audition for New York´s American Academy of Dramatic Art, and starts his drama education here.

1969  "Why I went Crazy" Armand has his real stage debut in "Why I went Crazy" starring opposite Imogene Coca in Joshua Logan´s piece and the same year he wins the Charles Jehlinger Award for Best Actor at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

1971 "Lake of the Woods" Armand has his Off-Broadway debut opposite Hal Holbrook in Steve Tesich's "Lake of the Woods"

    The made for movie TV film "Passion and Paradise" about  the still unsolved murder case of Sir Harry ....It had it's problems, with Armand starring as Alfred De Marigny.
    Before the film could be shown on British televison, new footage had to be shot, changing the way the Duke and Duchess of Windsor were portrayed.

    Synopsis: This film, based on a 1943 murder case, charts the tragedy that ensues when the French Count Alfred de Marigny enters the lives of the wealthy Oakes family.

This movie compeeted with ""Christopher Columbus: The Discovery" with huge stars as Tom Sellack and Marlon Brando.
    But Ripleys version won great for its reality and cruel truth. Armand lived 5 month in Spain with his wife and small daugthers during the production of this historical milestone.

    Same year the amazing "Odysseus" is introduced for an american ordiance.

    1997 september 14th Armand wins an Emmy Award for his role as Gotti as "Outstanding Lead Actor in a Mini-Series or Special" at he 49th Annual Prometime Emmy Awards in Pasedena, California and he was nominated for his role in "Odysseus" but did´nt win the award.

    The plot is:
    During a rescue operation in Iraq, Special Forces member Max Forester is devastated when Sasha, his squad mate and fiancée goes missing.

    "Jesse"
    Armand Assante as "Dominick"
    at the SOHO International Film Festival in New York City.


    WORLD PREMIER "JESSE"
    Cast and crew filled the red carpet at the Quad Cinema to see the world premier of the film.
    The film's director, Fred Carpenter, said he plans to take "Jesse" on the film festival circuit.
    It will make its Long Island premier at the Long Island International Film Expo at the Bellmore Movie Theater in July.
